Ionian catamarans by Patras Yachts was established more than 20 years ago in Patras in Western Greece by Stavros Kanis. It first started with a small charter fleet which over the years has become a bigger one and still growing. Now, with two main bases in Corfu and Lefkas has taken over the Ionian islands. We specialize in catamaran charter from, crewed or bareboat, of which the most part of our fleet consists. We also cooperate with other catamaran owners and ensure exclusive management of their yachts. With experienced skippers to lead the way and technicians all around the Ionian islands, we provide technical support everywhere in the Ionian Sea wherever our clients need it.

Our history as a charter company
In that year a company was founded, with a small fleet, however with big plans for the future. Its name was “Sail ways” and brought together many boat owners from Patras, who started chartering in the Ionian Sea. Mr. Kanis, having loads of experience since an early age, started with one catamaran, being the skipper himself, and entered the world of yacht chartering.
“Patras Yachts” made its appearance in the city of Patras, one of the most important ports of western Greece. The idea of the name was as simple as meaningful. Mr. Kanis lived in Patras, as well as, later on, his partners who either lived there or had been born there. This is how he decided to create a company that would show from where it all starts, but surely not where it all ends.
Few years later, “Patras Yachts” kept flourishing as an established company, and grew into a company that cooperated with several catamaran owners. In 2008 we already owned one catamaran in our fleet, and by 2010 we had the second one. Our catamaran family grew even more in 2013 with the addition of two more. The dream of a big catamaran fleet, created the idea of “Ionian Catamarans by Patras Yachts”, a company that would represent our fleet and our sailing passion, in cooperation with other owners that shared the same feelings. During the winter of 2010, our base in Corfu begins operating, while in Lefkas it began two years later.
“Ionian Catamarans by Patras Yachts” made its first steps in 2016, by advertising our services, giving the name by which, we operate until today. That year we added our fifth catamaran in our supervised and well-maintained fleet, always managed exclusively by us. Meanwhile both our bases, in Corfu and Lefkas, kept growing, with our exceptional services making us well known among the sailing and chartering world. We managed to combine excellent customer services with the best sailing spots in Greece. Why we chose the Ionian Sea? It can offer a beautiful sailing experience not only for the professional skippers, but also for amateur ones and bareboat charters, due to the relatively calm weather and winds, in comparison to the Aegean Sea, with its extremely strong “meltemia” (winds).
As the years pass by, we keep expanding our services, and “Ionian Catamarans by Patras Yachts” not only maintains its yachts the best way possible, by installing brand new sails and equipment, but also organizes your charters the most suitable way for you.
